Edge Power Debuts at the 11th “Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition 2023”

On April 7, 2023, the 11th “Energy Storage International Summit and Exhibition 2023 (ESIE 2023)” was held in Beijing. The exhibition hall covers over 70,000 m2, attracting more than 100,000 industry professionals to participate. Hundreds of experts from upstream and downstream of the energy storage industry chain gathered together to discuss industry development trends around the theme of “exploring a new energy mechanism for a new era of energy storage”. Edge Power Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Edge Power), a professional energy storage company under Concord New Energy Group, made its debut on the summit.

Edge Power demonstrated its industrial layout, development blueprint and the latest energy storage products, highlighting the professionalism and strength of Concord New Energy Group in the field of energy storage power stations at the source and grid sides. The products on display included the new generation Lithium iron phosphate liquid cooling energy storage modules catering to large independent energy storage power stations, energy storage DC modules, high power electrochemical energy storage modules, etc.

Edge Power’s new generation Lithium iron phosphate liquid cooling energy storage DC products consist of a 52-series liquid cooling Lithium iron phosphate battery pack and a 20-foot energy storage DC cabin. It is mainly used in independent shared energy storage power plants. The 52-series liquid cooling Lithium iron phosphate battery pack adopts the side plate liquid cooling technology to achieve uniform temperature distribution and optimize the temperature distribution gradient of the battery cell, thereby effectively extending the lifespan of the system. In addition, the battery pack has a modular fire protection design, with built-in multi-component combustible gas detectors and perfluoro hexane fire extinguishing agent boxes to ensure rapid response in emergency situations. The non-walk-in, modular and highly integrated design can effectively save floor space.

In the field of power type energy storage battery packs and DC cabins, Edge Power displayed its supercapacitors and Lithium-titanate battery packs. The power type energy storage battery pack can be applied to various hybrid energy storage shared power stations, supporting the high-rate discharge function required for primary frequency regulation and AGC services.

Dr. Chen Shengjun, Vice President of Concord New Energy Group and General Manager of Edge Power, introduced the status quo of CNE’s energy storage business and the development plan of Edge Power to partners and visitors. CNE (stock code: 0182. HK) is the only listed clean energy power generation company with a vertically integrated business development model in the Hong Kong stock market. In order to promote its new energy power generation business and serve the national new energy strategy and policies, the Group has intensified investment in energy storage power stations on the basis of the existing wind power and photovoltaic business.
